Religious Education

At St Benet’s we believe in making the most of every opportunity, knowing that we are all unique and made in the image of God.  At the heart of Catholic education lies the Catholic Christian vision of the human person; we strive to foster this and aim to create experiences to nurture the wholeness of each child to be fully human and fully alive for self and others.

Religious Education is a core subject at St Benet’s and is based upon the Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church.  We aim to develop a growing faith and spiritual awareness in our children, and equip them with Christian values which will guide them through their lives.  Religious Education is taught through the process of Explore, Reveal, and Respond. This follows the pattern of: the human search for meaning, God’s initiative in Revelation and the response in faith. We follow the ‘Come and See’ Catholic Primary Religious Education programme.
